About the Show:

One of the longest running shows in Off Broadway history, this delightful evening gives new meaning to the phrase “And now for something completely different!” Audience members are the guests at the nuptial celebration of Tony Nunzio and Valentina Vitale in all its tacky and hilarious glory. Following the church service is a reception where the audience joins the wedding party and their bickering families for a pasta dinner, champagne toasts, wedding cake and dancing to a five piece band.

“We’ve seen the future of theatre and it is wild! Off Broadway’s most innovative play satirizes a garish New York Italian wedding, and it’s more fun when the audience joins in!” – Glamour Magazine

“You don’t have to be Italian to understand the cliches lampooned.” – New York Daily News

“The oddest, goofiest unlikeliest hit in New York.” – New York Times

SCCT is Proud to be Hosting a
Playwriting Class
with David Williams

SCCT is happy to be hosting a new weekly Playwriting Class with local playwright David Williams this spring!

Learn the basics of playwriting, from writing dialogue to creating interesting characters to composing scenes that will excite an audience.  You don’t need any experience in writing for the stage, and at the end of the course, you’ll have your own short play and a reading of it by SCCT actors in front of an audience!  Class time will be a combination of instruction in the craft of playwriting and discussion of your own work and the work of fellow students.  Sign up and turn your ideas into living, breathing theatre!

Weekly Classes on Tuesdays from 7pm-9pm, March 14-April 25.
With a final reading on Saturday, April 29th!

The class will meet at SCCT Backstage – 171 Technology Drive, Suite 800, Boalsburg

Final Reading location TBD

$100 for the 7-week course.  ($90 for SCCT members!)
