Since the program’s inception in 2012, State College Community Theatre has participated in Centre Gives, and we are excited to be participating again this year!

On May 3rd and 4th, 2016, every gift made at CentreGives.org will go directly to the dozens of local, non-profit organizations serving Centre County and will be amplified by our $100,000 stretch pool. Gifts made during this time will also help participating organizations qualify for additional prize money.

You can make a difference! Your donation goes further when made during Centre Gives because it qualifies organizations for the $100,000 stretch pool and additional prizes. Anyone may make a secure, online gift to one of the many participating, local non-profit organizations with a minimum donation of $25. In the 2015 fundraising campaign, each $25 was worth $28.25, a 13% bonus!

Centre Gives is a regional part of Give Local America.

Last year, SCCT raised over $5000 and more than $1250 in prizes and stretch pool. We would LOVE to beat those numbers this year! Because ticket prices don’t cover all of our expenses, we rely on our generous donors to keep allowing us to provide high-quality theatrical entertainment and education to the Centre Region!
HOW IT WORKS
From 6am May 3rd until 6pm May 4th, online giving to SCCT will be open at https://centregives.org/npo/state-college-community-theatre, or you can donate through an app that will be on SCCT’s home page (scctonline.org). Volunteers will also be available in our offices to accept your donations when you call in at (814) 234-7228.

We are also accepting Pledge Cards in advance, if you would like to donate but think you might forget on May 3rd or 4th.

 POWER HOURS
 During Centre Gives, various hours are set up to award bonus prizes (typically $1000) to the organization with the largest number of “unique donors” during the hour.

This year, SCCT will be going after the lunchtime Power Hour, the “Torron Group Prize,” on Day 1 (Tuesday), and will be hosting an event with our partners at HoneyBaked Ham in Creekside Plaza! From 12pm-2pm, come get a delicious lunch, make a donation or pledge, and enjoy some time with your friends and family at SCCT! And, everyone who donates in these two hours will get a free cookie from HoneyBaked!

 DONOR BENEFITS
SCCT will be honoring all of our usual donor benefits during Centre Gives.

  • A donation of $25 or more gets you one membership in SCCT.
  • A donation of $100 or more includes your name listed in our Playbill at all SCCT regular season shows, as well as an SCCT membership.
  • A donation of $250-$499 includes 1 Flex Pass as well as your name listed in our Playbill at all SCCT regular season shows, and an SCCT membership.
  • A donation of $500-$749 includes two (2) Flex Passes, your name listed in our Playbill, and an SCCT membership.
  • A donation of $750-$999 includes four (4) Flex Passes, your name listed in our Playbill, and an SCCT membership.
  • A donation of $1000 or more includes six (6) Flex Passes, your name listed in our Playbill, and an SCCT membership

All donations are tax-deductible and come with our sincere appreciation!
