About the Show

Holmes’ father has died, and he is in need of a new case to take his mind off their failed relationship.

An orphan girl, Meredith, is in danger of being cheated out of her inheritance by a wicked lawyer, Simeon Stone, who arranges for her to be wooed and wed by a young man who is indebted to him and sets a scheme in motion to declare Meredith dead so her inheritance falls under Simeon’s control.

However, the young man can no longer go on “pretending” to love his new wife. He has indeed fallen in love with her, threatening to spoil Simeon’s plan.

Holmes is then contacted to help resolve the deadly plot, and the game is afoot!
