About the Show

“Brinser swings, and it’s going…going… gone/A home run/And Brinser wins the game!!”

Who among us hasn’t played out that or a similar fantasy in our own backyards-either as a young child or even last week? So we can certainly understand when everyman Joe Boyd jumps at the chance to make that fantasy come true in Damn Yankees. The important lesson here is that when we get wrapped up in our fantasies, we often lose sight of how great our reality is.

My reality for the past three weeks has seemed like a fantasy. Working with this incredible cast and creative staff has been wonderful. The cast tackled the challenge of putting together a show in three weeks with great energy and enthusiasm. The directors and design team opened their imaginations and created a wonderful world for these actors to play in. I hope you enjoy the show as much as we’ve enjoyed putting it together.
