*ABOUT THE PLAY*

Agoraphobia, adultery, ’80s nostalgia, spray cheese, road kill, hysterical pregnancy, Costco, strippers, the Ice Capades, flan & disco… it’s everything a musical should be!

The Great American Trailer Park Musical is a two-act musical, written by David Nehls and Betsy Kelso. It explores the relationships between the tenants at the Armadillo Acres Trailer Park in Starke, Florida.

It was performed in the first annual New York Music Theater Festival in 2004. The Great American Trailer Park Musical opened off-Broadway at Bows at Dodger Stages on September 27, 2005. The musical is a laugh-out-loud comedy that will make you hang off your seat in anticipation of the next act. David Nehls and Betsy Kelso took the completely absurd and stepped it up to a whole new level!

Thank you to everyone at SCCT for your hard work! I hope you have as much fun watching the show as we have performing it for you!

“From the start it has been the theatre’s business to entertain people … it needs no other passport than fun.” – Bertolt Brecht
