Twelve Angry Men

ABOUT THE PLAY Twelve Angry Men is a drama adapted by Sherman Sergel, based on the Emmy Award-winning television movie by Reginald Rose. This exceptional piece of dramatic literature takes place in a jury room one very hot day. Tempers get short and arguments grow heated as each juror reveals his own character while the various testimonies are re-examined. “This is a remarkable thing about democracy”, says the foreign-born juror; …..that we are notified by mail to come down to this place, and decide on the guilt or innocence of a man we did not know before.” It is remarkable and a testament to the freedom we have in our country. Isn’t it wonderful that we can get “angry”?
